VLC Not Displaying OBS UDP

I am using a VLC UDP source which i am then recording and redistributing out as a local UDP stream via OBS.

The IP being distributed out from OBS for the UDP stream is correct, however when i enter this into VLC, the stream is not displayed (The stream is being picked up though as I can see playback time increasing in the VLC window)

The only thing that I can think of that is the cause of this are video and audio encoders or bitrates.

Any Ideas? (I have attached the log file)

Hi,

If you're using Windows, you must use VLC 2.2.8 for it to work.
I had the same problem, switching to 2.2.8 made it work without any problems.

I ran into this problem this week. Anyone know what changed in VLC 3 to break this? I don't see any other posts online about this issue, I guess this isn't a common use case with OBS. I wonder if VLC devs are aware of this and just don't care to fix it. Think I'll throw a post up on the VLC forums and see what I get.
