Hey all! I'm hoping to maybe get some advice on the use of the VLC Media Source. I run events on Twitch where I use several player's Twitch feeds at once to show in a rebroadcast. I am currently working to internalize everything into OBS for ease of use purposes as well as automating a few things. I however have some issues with this.
One of the most important things I need to do is to "sync" the streams to a local clock. So each player has a clock displayed on the corner of their streams. I typically use streamlink cli which opens their twitch feed in VLC. This somehow gives me the ability to pause and playback streams similar to how you could with a DVR system. I however cannot figure out how to replicate this with VLC media sources. This works with the built in "media source" however that source has quite a bit of stuttering and other playback issues and I cannot currently rely on this for the long term.
If anyone has any ideas how I can potentially achieve this "DVR" like playback by pausing and playing streams, or otherwise sync up streams I would love to hear them. I am currently planning on stacking render delays and using audio delays but this is a bit of a clunky solution and I would like to improve this in the future.
Thanks!
