Visual Quality is very low with my 2k webcam

I am new here and software and IT is not my world, so please be understanding.
I have set up OBS for both live video chats but will mostly be filming to record. The resolution is so poor, that I have bought a 4K webcam. It arrives next week
Please guide me so that i can get the quality i should expect from a 2K webcam

You probably set the source on a lower resolution or you didn't installed the software of the webcam that allows it to work in those resolutions.
