That's a malware.
As long as you get the installer from here https://obsproject.com/download shouldn't be an issue.
I'd say that about ALL big-name AV programs. More annoyance and "security theater" than anything else.
This is not Windows XP anymore! All modern operating systems are more than capable on their own now, ***PROVIDED THAT YOU KEEP THEM UP TO DATE***. Yes, DO TAKE THE UPDATES!!! *That's* your security, not something else that you were suckered into paying for, that sends its own hooks deep into your system.
But schedule those updates explicitly, to not happen when you're about to do something critical. Do the whole wad - and keep coming back manually until there aren't any - as soon as you're done with the critical thing, so you have all of the time between that and the next one to test and troubleshoot.
Be smart about these things, and make the machine work for you, not the other way. If you don't schedule maintenance on your terms, then it will on its terms.
