Videos that start playing before the end of transition

I have a stinger of about 4 seconds and I would like to fix this. I have a scene with a video that I want to play automatically when I select it. The problem is that the video playback starts before the stinger ends, so several seconds of the video are hidden by the transition. Also the audio of the transition interferes with the video. How can I fix this?

well the easiest way in my opinion would be to move stinger transition moment as far to "video side" as possible (if stinger covers whole screen till the end, then move scene change moment till the end of the stinger and problem solved :P ).
Then add still frame of the video at the begining of the video for the remaning time of the stinger.
On the other hand if you prefer to have an audio of the first part of the video during the stinger then prepare second stinger with audio muting on the transition moment and use transition table plugin so every time you transition to this scene "the stinger 2" will be played
