Just looking for any ideas on a better, easier to manage an approach to this project.
I have10+ scenes, inside of each is a single media player with a video inside set to loop.
The scenes are labeled things like "crazy Red" "Blue lines", and various descriptions.
The output is sent to a projector.
The IDEA is to have a large bunch of videos that can be triggered much in the manner of pro presenter/vdmx/easy worship. The computer is meant for kids of most any age to be able to play video VJ behind the band - just press a scene button, the video dissolves up and loops til the next one is triggered.
This is working very well, and they like it, but adding videos is very time intensive - go into each scene, edit the media layer, rinse repeat.
I'd like to set this up with hundreds of videos from a vj library. (but dont want to spend weeks setting it up, and naming each scene.)
I have seen a playlist plugin, but that seems very oriented to playing video 1, video 2, video 3, etc rather than "random access"
I have tested a few other softwares (Freeshow/etc.) but OBS is soooo smooth and does it so perfectly.
Not sure if this makes sense but just looking for ideas, on best way to approach this, hopefully in OBS mac or pc.
TOTALLY understand that OBS was not made with this application in mind, but it has proven to be so adaptable for so many things.....
