Question / Help Videos Dont Play In Preview

Hi guys, whenever I am in Studio Mode any video sources don't play in preview window on the left side.
They work fine once I make the transition..
Is there a reason this happens or is it just how it works.

Well, you're entitled to your opinion but I, for one, am of the opinion it would be a nice feature to have and it could have the option to turn it on and off to satisfy those with the same opinion as yours.

Probably, this is flaw by Studio Mode design.

By the way, if you add the 'VLC Video' source to the scene in Studio Mode, the vlc audio source appear in the Mixer's list for you immediately (after transition of course; the media file has both video+audio) or it just added to the list of audio right after you exit Studio Mode?

Thanks but that wont help me..
Having the video run in preview would just save a lot of time because I now have to watch the any video first before I select it to make sure it's the correct one..

So, with VLC I can see the video in studio mode but not hear the audio.. Is that what you mean?

No, I mean, is the source in Mixer's list (right to Sources list) appear when VLC video plays? (you just made transition while in Studio Mode and it plays to output). Or it appears in the list after you exit the Studio Mode, isn't it?

Also, you need to make this test when Duplicate Sources checked and unchecked in Studio Mode.

Thanks but I am totally confused with all this.. I think it's easier to just preview the video before I use it because none of what you are saying makes any sense to me.

I don't have a VLC plugin..
I have no idea where 'duplicate sources' are to check them or uncheck them..
