I recently made the move to save storage on my computer by switching to MKV with HEVC and Opus. I have used the same resolution for both my new and old setup (MP4 15Mbps).

I recently noticed an issue though. I had checked the properties of one of my MKVs, and saw that the frame rate was 62.5 fps. I wasn't really shocked (as that might have been inaccurate), but I recorded another video (just to be sure it wasn't actually incorrect output) and used ffplay (ffmpeg 4.2.1), and in the command line, it displayed this:

For me, I was actually quite surprised. Supposedly I set the frame rate to 58, made a very short test recording, and...

I changed the frame rate again to 59 fps, and it was 62.5 fps (the same for "60"). Lavf58.20.100 means that OBS is using ffmpeg 4.2.1. However, since I'm bothered, I'm now wondering:

Is there an issue with my recording?

although this thread is open a while. i see the same issue, but only with ffmpeg custom output.
normal output is fine. also if you take the video and remux with avidemux video is 60 after that.
so this seems to be a weird metadata issue

It's something with your custom settings or possibly being caused by using OPUS. Take a look at this thread & do some testing. I never found out if the OP has CoreAudio installed. (I don't)
