Helping a friend and I'm stumped. This works on my system and others I know, but...
The situation
- macOS Catalina 10.15.4, OBS Mac 25.0.8. newest Zoom updates (5.0.3).
- Did the "remove codesign" hack for Zoom to reenable the virtual cameras on Zoom.
- Got the virtualcam plugin from johnboiles. Used the terminal window to remove any other virtualcam plugin and installed the new one form johnboiles.
Rebooted, and on my system, and others I know, I can go to OBS, Tools, Start VirtualCam, then fire up Zoom, and it's all happy - my OBS output goes to Zoom and it's cool.
For some reason, his video looks like the sync rate is off. He's getting diagonal off sync video. (See picture). I tried this using Google Hangout rather than Zoom, and same result. Video looks fine in OBS, but getting it to Zoom etc, not so much.
As an added wrinkle, I'm in the US, he is UK. But he is on a plain ole MacBook Air. Could it be something with NTSC vs PAL in the UK and how his Mac is set up? The symptoms lead me to think so.
Thoughts? Is there an OBS or Mac system setting on video for NTSC vs PAL? Or other ideas?
TIA
