I figured this would get added back in eventually after it went missing in the original OBS Multiplatform, but apparently not.
Video sources do not play their audio channel to the broadcaster, and there is no option to adjust this. I suggest a toggle similar (if not identical) to the Audio Output Mode on Video Capture Devices.
Inability to hear a video source while it plays makes professional livestreaming or video recording using OBS Video Sources extremely difficult, and often the alternative is to capture a VLC window, which is neither elegant nor efficient, and doesn't function properly for intro / outro videos.
This worked properly in the original OBS, and works in XSplit. I have a couple friends who still use the old OBS builds or XSplit because of this.
