Video source is fuzzy on Mac

Hi! I have a client who bought a stream overlay that looks just fine on OBS Windows but fuzzy on Mac (at least in the viewport). What would be some possible causes?

I suspect this has to do with what I'm looking for a solution for. MacOS has added a built in webcam feature that lets you add effects: Portrait, Studio Light, Reactions, and Backgrounds. If you have it turned on for your webcam it seems to also turn on for other video sources. I cannot find a way to have it only on for my webcam and off for other sources in OBS.
