Question / Help Video Quality Seems to Suffer with Webcam

I am on a late 2009 iMac 21.5, 16 GB, 3.06 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo.

I've been having trouble maintaining consistency with my webcam (Logitech C920) in terms of video quality. I get about 2 mbps upload speed, and use around 1300-1800 VBR to no major difference in my video quality. The video I send out is lower quality is quality than my preview window on OBS. I use my webcam full-time (I'm a musician, not a gamer), and I'm rather befuddled with it. Knowing that (basically) the C920 is Logitech's highest end, and there's nothing really higher than that in the "webcam" category. I don't know if it's the camera, my internet speed, the site I stream on, or OBS. I also had a really bad glitch with lag - a three minute (or more delay) on my stream with VBR at 1800. Went back down to 1300 for the time being.

Besides that, OBS for Mac has been stellar, and I'm always hoping that things will get more stable as time continues. Could anyone have a clue with what's going on?

@spencey Welcome!If you are using Logitech Camera Settings,follow these settings.Worked for me(I use a C525).
  • Disable Auto(you will have to set the focus yourself)
  • Set Anti-Flicker to PAL 50Hz
  • Disable Auto for White Balance(if you see a different colour than intended,slide the slider all the way to 100%)
