I was wondering if anyone can tell me if I can change the video output from mkv to mp4. Every week I have to record a video for school. then go to a converter website to convert it before I submit it. SNHU's guidelines for GAM-207 course is to submit the video file in either mp4 or mov.

You can change the Recording output file type in: Settings => Output => Recording => Recording Settings => Recording Format.

But before you change from mk4 to mp4, you might want to check the pros and cons of each format.

I'm confused....OBS will record in the .mkv format and when the recording is done, you can make it Remux the video to .mp4 format either manually or automatically .
