I tried to play an MP4 video file on OBS 29.0.2 (64 bit) but it was tilted on its side. Also, the audio in the file come across as nearly inaudible in OBS, but Twitch listeners indicated they could hear it if they turned up their volume a bit more. I was concerned about the tilted view and tried to change its layout in OBS, but could only affect its vertical or horizontal aspect, not pull it upright on the screen. I have viewed the MP4 file in other programs, and it played correctly (upright ie: portrait instead of landscape), so I was surprised that it had played in landscape in OBS.
