I have re installed obs after a long time of not having to use it and decided to do a test recording. i wasnt in any games or anything all i had was firefox, task manager and obs open. when i looked back on the recording it was really laggy and buggy which wouldnt be suitable at all for when i decide to stream or record properly. ive looked at other posts with similar questions but nothing works. i have attached the log file, any suggestions?

Your GPU is maxed out and OBS can't render scenes fast enough. Running a game without vertical sync or a frame rate limiter will frequently cause performance issues with OBS because your GPU will be maxed out. OBS requires a little GPU to render your scene.

Enable Vsync or set a reasonable frame rate limit that your GPU can handle without hitting 100% usage.

If that's not enough you may also need to turn down some of the video quality options in the game. If you are experiencing issues in general while using OBS, your GPU may be overloaded for the settings you are trying to use.

Please check our guide for ideas why this may be happening, and steps you can take to correct it: GPU Overload Issues.

Use these settings to record

If the stuttering continues, switch to CBR 25000 kbps.

The game looks fine when you play, but laggy in the recording? I had this issue with Cyberpunk 2077. Some games REALLY don't like when you're trying to caputre them with a "Game capture" source. Try using "Display capture" instead.

Try these settings. If they do not help, then the problem is not with OBS, but with your system.
I hope you did everything the analyzer suggested.
