video from livestram

Hi
I am new in obsstudio an have another basic question. If i make a livestraem let say with youtube: i klick the button start streming and it will be stramed. But do i have at the and also a recorded video from the livestram that can be looked later on youtube , and do i have also localy such a video ?

Stream recordings on the streaming website ("VOD" / "Video on demand") are a service from the streaming provider. If offered, they can be managed somewhere in your channel config at the streaming provider. Do a test stream and see what happens with the stream page after you ended the stream. As far as I remember, you will find a VOD after the stream ends.
You can order OBS to record locally what it streams by setting the recording encoder to "(use stream encoder)" and activate Settings->General->Output->Automatically record when streaming.
Make sure the audio config for recording includes the same audio track as the track used for the stream, usually track 1. In simple output mode, this is enforced. In advanced output mode this is default, but can be changed.
