This is a new development with this system. I have not changed anything below since May and the video started hitching last week.
The Video pauses, but the audio continues underneath it. The computer is not pausing, just OBS. I watched a streaming video next to the OBS window, and the OBS was all that paused.
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~4.0GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 16344MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 12
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
* I have 2 Monitors, one 4k and the other is 1080.
* I use OBS to full-screen my capture card and play my consoles that way.
* I have to switch the input of the capture card and switch back to clean up a bit of lag.
* it is not just the capture card video, but all of the OBS display, but not the audio.
* It does not stop the stream, but the video does freeze in the video that is up on twitch (https://clips.twitch.tv/HealthyElegantWombatTakeNRG)
