We've been trying to use OBS to livestream our church service. Unfortunately, the video is flickering in OBS before I start streaming. We use SlingStudio to connect to our Mac mini via an El Gato capture card and Faith Proclaim to overlay text onto the video inside OBS. Another local church has a similar setup (same computer using SlingStudio, same capture card, but uses Pro Presenter) but does not have the video flickering issue. I've replaced the cables connecting SlingStudio to the capture card and I've tried using a different capture card with no success at resolving the issue. So, I'm pretty sure the issue is not due to faulty cables or a bad capture card. Here are some details about our computer:
macOS Catalina v10.15.7
Mac mini (2018)
Processor 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i3
Memory 8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
Graphics Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB
We're using the latest version of OBS. The Base (Canvas) Resolution is set to 1920 x 1080 with the Output (Scaled) Resolution set to 1280 x 720 using 30 fps. The video flickering has a random but rapid pattern to it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
