Video connection field BLANK and NO video input since upgrade to 29 / Monterey

Since being required to upgrade to latest version due to Monterey upgrade,
I have zero connectivity with my Black Magic device / HDMI > RGB capture chain like I used to under Mojave.
The video connection field does not even function (see attached).
Help!

There are ZERO settings under preferences which enable or disable video connection.
Sigh. Why is this broken, now?

It gets worse. When I create a new input source, the "device" field is broken, it remains BLANK, no matter what you do. I have connected and reconnected my BM device about 13 times. Is this device and software now totally kaput for me?

No change after reinstalling BM desktop video, ensuring permissions all ok under system prefs...
My BM device is warm, hence it is getting power via its USB port.
It is not seen by OBS *or* desktop video....

Update, looks like the problem is Blackmagic. The Intensity Shuttle device is now landfill, thanks to corporate inefficiency etc. C'est la vie.
