Question / Help Video Capture

Hello All,

I'll try to make this as simple as possible because it is 3AM and maybe some people reading this are tired too haha
-I want to record only footage from my webcam
-I am using the "video capture device" option
-I drag the window so that it covers the full capture screen
-When I enlarge/drag the video box the quality seems to drop and the framerate goes lower
-The camera I am using is a "Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920" so it should be able to easily record 1080P
-The final recording quality ends up being somewhere around 480P
-I have tried to edit the settings instead of using custom. Unfortunately when I select a different resolution the video disappears from interface

Any ideas on how I can record a video, just the video from the camera no other sourced, and have it come out HD/1080P?

I hope this was not too messy and that what I am saying can be understood
If not I can upload a quick video showing the issue

Thank you!

You need to go to the device properties (double click the source) and choose the resolution to use on the camera. Enlarging the source does nothing for the actual resolution that it's capturing... it just scales up a low resolution image, resulting in the blurry image you see.

If you end up with nothing displayed when you change your camera's resolution, then there's an issue with either the drivers or your USB connection. Make sure you've restarted your computer if this the first time connecting the C920 and you're intending to use the default UVC drivers. If that doesn't work, try using either the Logitech Webcam Software, or the G Hub software.

If you still have no image, then it's most likely either a bad USB connection, or you don't have enough bandwidth due to other devices on the same host controller. Try other USB ports, and try disconnecting other devices. Also, don't use any usb extenders or hubs.
