Video capture doesn't work in 2nd scene

I am using Linux, and I have installed OBS v27.0.1. I created a scene that had audio, Powerpoint presentation, and a small video capture of me up in the right corner. That works fine. Then I setup a 2nd scene, by copying the audio setup from the first scene, then I add video capture to the scene, using the same integrated laptop camera that I used in the first scene, but the screen is black. My video is not displayed at all.
I can switch back to the first scene and I see my video working in the upper right corner.
I switch back to my 2nd scene, and the screen is black.
The whole time my camera light is on, indicating that it is capture video, likely only for my first scene video capture.
Do you know how to get my video to show up in the 2nd scene?

You should reuse the existing camera source in your second scene (instead of adding a new one). You cannot access most hardware more than once at the same time.

I did choose the existing camera source and it didn't work. What finally did work was I copied the video capture from the first scene and pasted it into the second scene, then I resized the video to full screen. That worked.
