Video Capture Devices no longer displaying/accessible

Recently re-routed all my USB connections via hubs in order to move my PC into a different room. Webcams and Video Capture Cards currently work with Chrome and appear in perfect working condition in Device Manager.

OBS however does not display the video sources (gray/blank), even after de-activating, restarting, rebooting, re-adding, re-installing Roaming folder and also resetting Windows privacy settings and the camera app via settings, etc.

Windows Camera/Privacy shows "last accessed" via OBS as prior to re-routing. If it makes a difference, the Windows Camera app shows a black screen with no buttons or options either.

any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Video sources: Canon M50 (via usb video capture card) + Logitech C922

This can only be fixed through the Windows registry edit. The grayed value means that there were USB errors and device was disabled/settings partially cached. Look online for the exact solutions. The obvious one - is to use other PC USB port, until all fast ports will be tried...

Thank you so much for the reply, I ended up having to reset my PC and re-install OBS in the meantime. My Logitec webcam seems to display a preview under properties now but remains blacked out in the main view. My main Canon M50 via video capture card is still greyed out and unavailable. Any suggestions? Any advice will help.

Video Capture Device visible only in properties preview? Are you sure that the source has size and it lies inside preview, and placed above all other sources, and it is not hidden?

As for the capture card - I have no Idea. But I hope that that you have enough USB bandwidth and power to make it all work together.

Yes I'm positive, I've imported my old AppData OBS-studio folder as well and the webcam is visible there but stutters consistently. The Capture Card however is still missing. *Sigh*
