Question / Help Video capture device

Hi i have an iPhone 8 and i am trying to connect it to OBS as a video capture device so i can live stream on Facebook.I have a lightning to camera adaptor from my phone and a usb cable to my pc. OBS will not find my phone in Video capture menu. What am i doing wrong? Please be gentle i have never used OBS before.

Phones do not normally show up as UVC webcams. You will need to run a third-party webcam app on your phone to have it act as a webcam for your PC.

oh ok . sounds a nightmare. .. i was lead to believe that it would go straight to obs no problem. that's their blurb.
.do you know of any such apps?

Whose blurb? And no, not really. Just search on the app store for 'webcam', it should pop up a lot of them.
