Question / Help Video Capture device - won't display webcam output

Hey,

I am new here and I will start off by mentioning that I have been looking for an answer to my problem within the forums before I decided to register and post this.

I have a J1455 camera (a kind of a GoPro'ish camera) that I have connected to my computer in order to record, the camera works fine with Skype/Web application/or any other source that can use webcams ... except my newly installed latest version of OBS. After installing it and trying to add up to my scene a 'video capture device' - I get a blank list (none existing formats to use) so without any other choice at hand I 'create a new one' and once getting into the creation screen I can see the name of the device is recognized on the top but no preview is displayed.

There is limited options I can change and FPS and Video Format are highlighted in red... none of the changes I made to did anything that brought me any closer to using the camera. There is an Active/Deactivate device and Config buttons that seem to not function at all.

Device is installed properly and shows up all well in device manager and my camera works perfectly well ...

Does anyone know how to solve ?

Have you read my post ? The camera works perfectly with the computer as a webcam IT IS just OBS that doesn't get any display output from it ...

This is the third time I will write it - the camera works perfectly fine as a camera and as a webcam in everything there is except OBS.

*Edit*: I just tried out OBS classic and not studio and it works. This still doesn't solve my problem, I would rather use studio version.

Try running the 32bit version of OBS instead of the 64bit version. The installer should have installed both versions, but not all Directshow drivers work on 64bit OBS.
