video capture device on macbook

I'm using obs on a new macbook pro with 10.11 el capitan. I'm using an avermedia u3 capture device. when i load up obs, it doesn't give me an option under video capture devices to select my u3 capture card. it will only let me display capture it. is there a way to change this? i believe its giving me some lag issues as the game will play fine until i live stream, then its laggy. i think i have my setting set right on obs and my aver media u3...any help is greatly appreciated. thanks -danny

@boost3dmr2 Welcome!Sorry dude,but Avermedia doesn't provide AV Capture drivers for OBS,meaning that it won't be seen as a video capture device.Display Capture,Window Capture and Game Capture(if possible) is the only way.
