I'm new to obs/capture cards. I currently have OBS version for Macbook Air (2020) (Monterey 12.1). My video capture device is not showing up as a source and I don't know if it is because of system requirements for the capture card itself. Current specs of the macbook I have are:
--1.1 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i3---intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB
while the capture card requirements are:
--i5 quad core or above, compatible with DirectX10, sound card, 4GB DDR3 or more
Is the problem something as simple as that? If so, what are video capture cards that would work to stream console gameplay that will work on this Macbook?
I have tried using older versions of OBS, switching cables, switching inputs/outputs but it simply refuses to show up as a source. I bought this capture card which offered itself as being able to work on my system come to find out the manual states different system requirements and as I'm new to all this I truly don't know if this is the issue or if this Macbook simply can not register capture cards.
