Question / Help Video Camera Not In Device List

Hi,

I the following setup:

2 x Canon EOS100D
2 x Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Mini Recorder
Macbook Pro

I have started OBS Studio and created a new Video Camera Source.

However, when I configure the source to select the device I don't see either of the cameras in the drop down list, only FaceTime HD Camera (Built-in)

Have I missed out any steps?

How are the cameras connected?

HDMI cables from cameras to Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Mini Recorder.

Then Thunderbolt cables from Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Mini Recorders to my Macbook Pro.

And have you tried adding the recorders as blackmagic devices?

Can you tell me how I would do that please?

I only see FaceTime HD Camera (Built-in) in the Device drop down list...

I didn't say to add a video capture device.
I said to add a blackmagic device.

How would I add a blackmagic device?

It's a separate source type like window capture, display capture, etc.

Ok, it doesn't appear in the list of source types when I click on the '+' button. Do I need to configure it else where so I can add it?

You need the blackmagic software installed properly for the devices.

Ok great, I have installed the software and the blackmagic device was in the source list.

I added the device, however I don't see any display from the camera, are there any other settings I need to do to get it working?
