Video and audio async

hey. started to make video podcasts using sony alpha III and IV cameras +audio technica AT2020 mics.

The problem is: while recording videos and audio via OBS, video and audio files have async. I do record it with choosing "video source" option in OBS and for audio, mics are connected with an analog mixer, then to audio interface (SSL2) and then to the laptop, macbook air 2020.

Can you please help me? anyone had such kind of problem before?

If you click on the audio device in the audio mixer section and select advanced audio properties, then sync offset. you can then enter a time or click the down arrow button for the audio to be delay by, you have play around with it to correct the sync.

thanks for the reply. i've tried that, maximum number one can get in minus chart is 950 and its still not enough for async :((

can it be connected to the laptop performance? meaning, maybe macbook air has weak video graphics card or smthn like that and hence the delay in processing video input?

I use a MBA 2020 M1 and run at least two 1080p50 video sources simultaneously, plus other elements and URL overlays along with a 1080p50 HDMI camera input and only need a very minor audio delay adjustment to have everything in sync.

I found the key being:

1. Make sure all else is not running/switched off on your machine (use Activity Monitor to check what the biggest resource hogs are).
2. Only install the absolute minimum number of OBS plugins and media elements that you actually *need* for your stream/recording (no "nice to haves").

Basically, be ruthless with your resources.
