I'm loving this tool!
I've become very confused on what is the best setting to capture old analog 4:3 VHS tapes and upscale them to 720 or 1080.
My confusion comes with understanding the "Canvas" display and its relationship to the "Output" display.
One Youtube source stated to set the resolution the same for both (1920x1080) 59.97 FPS.
Another said to set the "Canvas" resolution to the native NTSC 720x480 and 29.97FPS and the "Output" resolution to either a 4:3 720 format 1280:960 or a 16:9 1080 format for Playback on a flat panel (4K).
Yes, I searched this MAC forum using keyword VHS and found nothing, I'm on a MAC Book Pro with an M1 chip and 16GB with a 1TB SSD.
I have a Digitnow Videocapture 1080P USB device. It works great!
Any help greatly appreciated!
