Question / Help Very heavy artifacting at random times

Hello!

I am in deep need of help with OBS. Randomly, throughout my stream, my elgato Game Capture HD will start to lag and drop frames. At the same time, the CPU usage for OBS will shoot up from roughly ~20% to 50-60%. Then this will happen:

I have gotten around this by either closing and reopening OBS, or, more recently, closing and deactivating and reactivating the elgato source. Attached is my log file. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Something seems to be overloading your PC, or something is wrong with your audio capture.

21:05:54.427: adding 512 milliseconds of audio buffering, total audio buffering is now 917 milliseconds (source: Game)
21:05:54.427:
21:07:05.261: Max audio buffering reached!
21:07:05.261: adding 42 milliseconds of audio buffering, total audio buffering is now 960 milliseconds (source: Game)

This much audio buffering indicates either a problem with a particular source capture, or a machine so loaded that it can't handle the i/o necessary for audio capture.

Hm. The game source has no audio coming in. I route everything from a mixer. I never disabled the audio, because I didn't think I'd need to. I'll run a test stream today to see what happens. Thanks Narcogen!
