Guys, I try to identify where the culprit is.
So I am trying to stream my gameplay of world of tanks. I play on 1080p, without vsync on, and usually can get ~100 fps.
Every time when I try to stream, even the output is set to 1080p, 720p or in the middle, at 60 fps, I get slight fps drop with inconsistent FPS rates (what is expected), but at the same time, my stream is very choppy, and looks like I skip loads of frames. I can change the bitrate, but issue stays same.
However, if I set my game on VSYNC (locking on 60 fps), then game has more or less stable 60 fps and stream is OK. I could easily play 60 FPS vsync and stream at 1080p without any issues.
Previously, I could stream 720p without any vsync at 50 fps without any fps lock (having like 90 fps in game), but now - same result - very choppy streams even on these settings
I wonder, is it my hardware limitations that force me to go like this, or there is something stupid in settings which I have what prevents me to play properly? I mean I see people streaming at 1080p with worse hardware and without any FPS syncs at 60 fps with no issues, with older cards.
so help me to understand it, please :(
I play on laptop, and specs are:
i5 7300HQ
16 gigs of ram
GTX 1050 (non ti)
SSD
Windows 10
Latest NVIDIA drivers
using NVENC (new) encoder. (issue persists on NVENC as well)
