Question / Help Very bad lag issues while recording in OBS

Hi! Thank you for checking out my thread.
I've been having many, many lag issues while recording with OBS. The game I am trying to record (Roblox) doesn't lag while I'm playing and recording, but when I come back to OBS and watch back my recording, it's always very laggy/choppy. I've tried changing different settings, and nothing ever seems to work for me, so any help would be appreciated GREATLY!
Here is a log I have from OBS: https://hastebin.com/simirecomo
Please let me know if you need any more info and I will find it.
Thanks again!

You are heavily overloading your GPU:

10:03:16.936: Output 'simple_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 594 (58.8%)

OBS is unable to get enough time on the GPU to render frames. This generally means you need to cap in-game framerate or reduce quality settings to free up GPU capacity for OBS to work. You only have an Intel integrated GPU, this is not generally suggested for a one PC setup where you play a game and record or stream on the same PC.

You are also overloading your encoder, which in your case is your CPU:

10:03:16.937: Video stopped, number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 658/1010 (65.1%)

You're already on ultrafast, so the only real remedy there would be to go to a smaller resolution. Your computer is not strong enough to play a game in 1080p and record in 1080p30. I would suggest a canvas size of 1280x720 and see if that helps.

Hi, thank you for responding so quickly!
I tried turning down to 1280x720 and I turned down my game's graphic quality to the minimum, but I'm still experiencing lag issues. I'm not sure if my computer isn't strong enough to run these programs together, or if I'm just missing a setting I should have turned off or on.
Here is another log file if it's needed where I made the changes and tried to record again: https://hastebin.com/uvubihisuf

The weird thing is that I can use another recording software on these types of games and it doesn't lag at all. That's why I have a feeling I'm missing something within the OBS settings. (I prefer to use OBS over the other program because sometimes it can crash while exporting my recordings, and OBS just seems to have a better support online and features included.)

Ok, some other things:

Your OBS is old. Download the latest from the site.

Your Windows 10 Game DVR feature is on. Turn it off.

The lag in your later recording is actually worse than your first one, and you haven't actually changed resolution. It is still at 1080p. You need to adjust this in Settings > Video > Base (Canvas) Resolution
