FYI - I tried checking the forum for this issue. Found similar posts but not like my circumstance, so if I missed something... apologies in advance.
Now to the issue. I have a Dell Win 10 desktop and I just reinstalled Ver 29.1.3 (with default settings for recording preference) to see if the glitch was due to a bad install. - read on... I performed a test capture two days ago using the output timer and the process completed without a hitch - 2 hrs 14 mins of clear video/ audio. Just like I've had multiple times in the past.
The following day I attempted to record a 2 hour session while I did other duties. Later, I checked the OBS recording and for the first 10-15 seconds I could see video then the screen faded to black and all I had was 2 hours of audio. Yesterday I tried using the output timer again to record content that was 1 hour in length and got the same result. Display capture was enabled/ selected in both instances and I had not changed any settings. All the content I recorded was from the same source as well.
