vb virtual audio cable - get rid of speaker monitoring

I was reading a lot of threads here and also watched a lot of YT guides but I am still doing something wrong.
And after a lot of hours of trying out different ways and settings I hope someone can help.

Btw. I need the virtual audio cable only for 3rd party apps like MS Teams/Zoom and so on so.
On my last PC I had exactly the same settings even I made a backup of my szenes and settings for my new PC (Win11).

My problem is I hear my voice over the speakers which was not in the past on my old computer but I don't want, this only happens if OBS is opened.
It seems it should be only one setting to change but which?

in short:
Windows settings:
audio control panel: input is vb cable as standard, record tab vb cable standard and listen to device -> Speakers (without this setting I cannot hear any sound like music, but I am sure you know this)

OBS Studio:
Audio settings: mic is my mic, desktop audio is vb cable (I don't know if I need this but this is to see that vb cable works, deactivating doesn't solve the problem), monitor is vb cable
advanced mixer settings: mic is monitor & output

thank you, I did it with standard voicemeeter and everything is fine now
my settings are a little bit different because I don't want to do all my micro filter settings new
...I am still wondering why it worked with Win7 without voicemeeter

You don't need voicemeter for it though if you can install just the virtual cables but don't worry about that, only just make sure to not have monitoring on your Microphone in OBS. Example in the Audio Mixer, check the source of your Mic advanced audio properties > audio monitoring ... make sure its not on "Monitor Only" or "Monitor and Output", it should be "Monitor Off".

Monitor Off = You do not want to hear it with also not sent to the stream.
Monitor Only(muted output) = You hear it but its not sent to the stream(hence muted output).
Monitor and Output = Hear it and make it sound on the device that is set to Monitor audio.

You are not supposed to be monitoring your mic with OBS
