Question / Help Variable Framerate Setting in Advanced Output tab

I wanted to record some high quality videos, so I put 1000 bitrate, enabled "Use Custom Buffer Size", put Buffer Size to 0, deactivated CBR and put a CFR of 13, but why is there a "Variable Framerate (VFR)" setting? and why can I activate CBR AND VFR simultaneously? That makes no sense to me, is that option necessary/does it change something? I'm using OBS-MP 0.11.2 64 bit on W10

VFR = Variable Frame Rate
CRF = Constant Rate Factor
CBR = Constant Bit Rate

VFR and CBR have nothing to do with each other.
