Not sure if my title is worded correctly but I have two computers: My main gaming computer running win10. and a really shitty HP 8000 elite running ubuntu. is it possible somehow to have my linux machine handle all the encoding and stuff to cut down on the lag that streaming causes on my windows machine?

You can run a copy of OBS on the gaming machine and have it send a lightly compressed stream using the NDI plugin over the network, where the other machine can pick it up as a source and compress it for sending to a streaming service.

This takes away the CPU-intensive task of compression from the gaming machine, but it means the streaming machine has to be up to the task.
