Question / Help Using two desktops to broadcast.

Hello! New to the community.

We are doing a simple live stream for our church's Sunday services. We are taking a single camera input, capturing sound from our soundboard, and also capturing our multimedia we display during service from our AV desktop computer. From there, we are live streaming onto youtube.

Our AV team asked if we could run the OBS on a separate mini desktop, so we don't have to run all of our multimedia programs and the live streaming software on the same machine. That's a simple request, but with not a lot of expertise - I was wondering how to do that?!

I can easily move our camera input and audio input over to a mini-desktop. But how do I mirror our extended desktop on the main AV desktop to a second desktop (the mini desktop) so that we can capture our multimedia for OBS? It seems simple, but I've never done anything like that. Any suggestions?

The NDI plugin for OBS can send and receive output over a local network. You can run a copy of OBS on each computer, and the one running the desktop can send that capture over the network where the 2nd copy of OBS can add it as a source.
