Hi all - I have been tearing my hair out at this one for a few days.
I am playing Warzone on a gaming rig with the following specs.
Ryzen 5 3600XT
3070 RTX
Samsung G5 1440 UW Monitor
16GB Ram
I regularly use OBS to broadcast webinar-type content. I am really familiar with it. I want to use it to capture gaming moments on warzone by using the replay buffer to always have the option of pushing a hotkey and saving the last 30 seconds or so of game play. But the results are terrible, 60 seconds of video will capture the audio perfectly, but might only capture 12 frames of video (total). In-game performance seems to be fine.
Things I have tried.
I'd appreciate knowing if I am fighting a losing battle here - and if anyone can suggest an alternative. Basically I want a lightweight highlight recording software that only records a very small number of clips and otherwise doesn't overly reduce performance in-game.

- Running as administrator
- Using game capture and using screen capture (with the game in fullscreen borderless)
- Lowering game quality to almost unplayably low settings in order to see if it was performance limited
- Turning on Vsync and capping frame rate at 100 hz / FPS
- Using native resolution in OBS and using 1080p resolution in OBS
I'd appreciate knowing if I am fighting a losing battle here - and if anyone can suggest an alternative. Basically I want a lightweight highlight recording software that only records a very small number of clips and otherwise doesn't overly reduce performance in-game.
