Using Other Devices

So I am curious why OBS will see the signal from my on board sound card on my mobo. But when you select a device like the Focusrite, it does not see the signal from that device?

I am trying to stream my DAW. Very aggravated cuz I do not understand why OBS does not support any device but the one that is on your mobo. Makes zero sense.
