Question / Help Using OBS With A DSLR For Facebook LIVE Makes It Worse Quality Than A Smart Phone, Why??

I use a Canon 1 DX Mark 2 with an expensive lens, yet, the LIVE to Facebook is terrible quality compared to a Smartphone?! WTF....

The common denominator is OBS...

It destroys the quality of the stream/video...

I even colour grade the stream...

Please, help?

I've posted in here; in the Facebook group, nobody seems to know how to resolve this?!

I know it's 'free', but does it even work!?

I've done that, but still, the quality sucks!

I would change from the CPU based encoder to the Apple encoder if your system supports it. I also notice that you are streaming in 720p but your canvas is 1080. I would set my canvas to 720.

What capture device are you using to capture the Canon's video output?

Perhaps double check the settings for the hdmi port - see attached screenshot. I know if audio is not set to the same bitrate on >all< devices in the stream sequence problems will arise. This may apply here as well...
