Question / Help Using OBS to record from AVer DVD EZMaker 7

I wanted to use OBS and the AVer device to record from some home VHSs but I cant get anything to show in OBS when it is playing. I have been able to confirm that I am getting a feed from the device but I am getting nothing besides a black screen in OBS when I set it up.
