Question / Help Using multiple of the same webcam to stream

Hi there, not sure if there has been a thread made about this already... Does anyone know if it's possible to live stream with multiple of the same webcam? Does OBS or Windows have issues differentiating between the cameras?

Trying to run multiple Zoom q2n cameras over USB on a Surface Pro 3 i5.
Thank you!

Any limitations of this are caused entirely by the drivers of the camera or the usb controller of the system.

I stream my D&D games with 3 total cameras - 1 via the dock, 1 via the USB port, and the front-facing camera. The two I have plugged in are both the same model, the Logitech C270.

I can say this - I've definitely had strange things happen when both were plugged into the same controller, though I don't know if that was just an issue with trying to do too much from one hub. I should also mention that I've been unable to have more than 3 webcams running at any one time, so keep that in mind too.

At the very least, you may have OBS sometimes load the cameras backwards, or have only one load with OBS. The solution is usually to go into the source's settings and unload/load it back in. I usually dedicate about 20 minutes to ensuring they both show up properly.
