Question / Help Using External noise gate + OBS Full screen preview to stream PC + Voice Meter

Hello,

I have been racking my brain the last couple of hours trying to get this to work which it does but unable to mute my MIC playback in my headset without killing the whole audio in my head phones..Wondering if anyone has had any experience with this scenario.

I have 2 PCs

1 x game PC
1 x stream PC

Capture card in stream PC receives OBS full screen preview from game PC. All audio and video is sent across via HDMI cable.
It was working fine up until i wanted to introduce a soft Noise gate running on game PC, to gate the MIC before it is sent across to OBS on second PC as I need to gate it on my stream as well as my discord (Mic is plugged into game PC) I cant plug it into stream PC because then I wont be able to hear the discord chat.

So i installed Noise gator and have my input Mic set
Output set to voice meter

However the problem I have is that I can hear myself talking in my Mic and if I mute the A1 on the vrtual input then it also mutes all system sound making it unable to push sound to my headset. All sound will push across to stream still.

I must me missing something/over thinking it however I just can't seem to put my finger on it. Wondering if anyone has been able to do this at all?

oh man.... i worked it out just as i typed this out! I used the extra AUX input and muted that but still pushed it to the capture card. Ay ay ay, its always the simple thing with me LEL. At least I can gate my sound on both stream PC and discord game PC, yay no more keyboard sounds!
