I have to comment that the web cam utility for Mac (still in beta) is garabage. It only connects at USB2 not USB3 and you lose video information and the motion is super jerky.
It was unusable.
I bought a CamLink and it’s all good.
You really need to go HDMI out of whatever camera you have.
