I recently purchased a Blue Snowball Ice as my microphone to start live streaming. But up to now I haven't even used it as for some reason using it on OBS distorts all audio on my computer.
So when I click on Mic/Aux > Properties > Device, the microphone is set as the default device. Once it has been applied the entire audio on my computer becomes distorted, microphone included and anything I play that is in high quality, instantly decreases by 75% easily. It echoes and there is always a low rustling noise when audio is picked up.
Now when I go back to Mic/Aux > Properties > Device, I can click on my webcam (Logi C920 HD Pro) and it starts picking up the audio from there and the audio elsewhere on my computer returns to its normal state.
The same applies if I choose Audio Input > Devices > Default/Webcam audio
