Using a 1080P DisplayPort Display Emulator

I currently capture streaming video with an X230 laptop (Windows 10 Pro, 1366x768) and an external Gechic 1102H monitor to capture 1920x1080 for my TV.
Could I instead capture with a 1920x1080 DisplayPort Emulator?
Can OBS-NDI be used for my 1920x1080 captures?
 
Can someone tell me how to edit a post here?

I can capure with the DisplayPort Emulator, but can't see what it is recording. Is it possible to do this on my laptop's screen?
