an option to use coordinated universal time (UTC) would be helpful.
Flash live media encoder has this option (hidden in config.xml) and many professional encoders do have it.
This is useful because it allows for some servers advanced use such as :
- use in parallel of a backup encoder which can seamlessly relay the main encoder in case of network trouble (ex unified streaming server)
- parallel use of several encoders with different videos and audios on different locations, which can be remuxed on the fly with optimal synching
