Hi! I tried looking for this problem everywhere online, I couldn't come up with anything at all.
Basically, I bought 2 different capture cards recently to replace my old Elgato one, and both of them do the same thing.
One is called USB video when it shows up in the list, the other one is called something else but it does the same thing. Basically what happens is that they are not detected at all in the list of devices in OBS unless I reboot my PC. If I do, they'll show up in the list under Video Game Capture properties besides Elgato Game Capture HD, and I can select them and use them. But once they go idle, they disappear from the list and it's impossible to get them back unless I restart my PC.
Anyone knows what can cause this? My PC still detects them fine as soon as I plug them in, in any USB port, but not OBS (and this does the same in both regular OBS and StreamlabsOBS, same problem). And yes, I tried updating the drivers but nothing comes up.
