Question / Help usb intensity shuttle not recognised

I have an Intensity Shuttle usb 3. I plug it in and no device is found. I went to the control panel and it does not see it. I want to know if there are known issues. I also want to know how deep the usb cable sits into the shuttle itself. It looks shallow. it is not working any ideas?

Then it's not plugged in correctly.

I have the usb in the shuttle to the computer. I can see it is somewhat shallow. I do not want to force it. should it be flush to the device?

depends on the specific cable. you should be trying to push it in until there's noticeably more resistance.

i am runnig a 64 bit windows ten does that matter

Wow, I am bummed this thing just does not work. I have an extensive background in electronics for video and I a seeing some bad and do mean bad comments on this thing. I am returning this to the vendor.
