Question / Help USB Headset Audio Cutting Out

Hello!

I'm having an issue with OBS. Before this, I had a similar issue with XSplit. This issue I did not have in the past, but I've been on a several year hiatus from streaming.

I use a Corsair Vengeance 2100 headset with up-to-date drivers. I use this for both in-game audio and microphone. Everything is good, but once I start a stream it all goes haywire. The sound to the headset is interrupted every other second for 2-7 seconds at a time. It's like I unplugged and replugged in the USB dongle. I've used different USB slots, updated my drivers, completely uninstalled and re-installed my headset, and nothing has changed. The audio to my headset goes out every time I start the stream. I have the headphones set to be exclusive as well as my default device in the sound taskbar and tried it with that box unchecked, but it still doesn't work.

It works fine if I use speakers. The sound won't cut out. But it will with the headset, and only when I start streaming. I'm not sure if the headset is struggling to work with OBS streaming or what, as it seems unusual that it would be the only time it has issues working. I can just stream and play with speaker audio, but then I won't have the microphone from my headset and would have to go buy one.

Any suggestions? Or is my headset just too old?

I have the same issue with the latest OBS and some Logitech G430 USB headphones with latest drivers.
Log file shows what OBS logs when the issue arises.
There are no issues reported in Windows Event Logs.
I had Discord, OBS and GTA5 open.
